Objective: In 1989 there was a sudden rush of deep sea thrillers being released; James Cameron lead the way with his high concept and high budget underwater aliens vs romantic/action/drama in "The Abyss" complemented by a glut of ridiculous soggy monster flicks including the stupidly enjoyable and gory "DeepStar Six" and bizarrely derivative "Leviathan" with Robocop himself, Peter Weller. All three films are worth a watch, review them and pick up this damp accolade.
