Two valid points.
I believe Beebs is initially correct. However, one could pronounce it as Beanie explains, or one could spell it "roy'l" (as one might spell "o'er") and call it poetic license. In that regard, it isn't like a one-syllable pronounciation of, say, imperial ("im'l"? Naaaah.).
Given Beanie's clarification, I'm cool with it.
Anyone else? |
