Its acknowleged in the film world that the excellent scripts get offered to the star names then filter downwards . So , this thread is intended to highlight who you think is the poverty row knock-off.

Heres a couple to start the Ball rolling

Josh Brolin is the poor man's David Boreanaz
Balthazar Getty is the por man's Liev Schreiber

Um, no. What since Josh Brolin starred in last year's best film (not to mention In The Valley of Elah, Grindhouse, American Gangster, and, errr, The Goonies) and is now set to play Dubya in an Oliver Stone biopic, and Boreanaz is a TV actor.

I'm not entirely sure which category is which here. Please don't mean Depp is the poor man's anything?

No, the difference in size was supposed to indicate the order, which is the other way around. You would start with Johnny Depp and move down to Skeet.

Depp's aged a lot in appearance in the last few years, this isn't as true as it once was.

Kevin Zegers is a poor man's Michael Pitt, who is himself a poor man's Leonardo DiCaprio.

Oh, and yeah, that Brolin thing makes no sense to me either.

I actually thought of Michael Pitt as a poor man's Brad Pitt - and not because of the name, but because of the odd, semi-psycho roles he's played that put me in the mind of early Pitt roles like in 12 Monkeys or Kalifornia. I'm rather pleased to see other people have noted Michael Pitt at all.

It was those three years in the Caribbean sun, he'll bounce back.

So, what was that 2004 domestic battery arrest all about? I see he's still married to Diane Lane? How can alledged spouse beating be a 'misundertanding?' She didn't press charges.

I don't follow your logic. A chequered past doesn't make his work inferior to that of David "Mannequin" Boreanaz.
