7, sleeping Beauty, a long shot. I'm not even sure whether it's animated (the still and not the picture!!)
I think 11 might be The Postman Always Rings Twice

Thanks for the help all!
I believe Bean was correct on Love Actually - found a reference to the kid leaving chalkboard notes on his door for Dad.
More investigation to come. |

Wellllllll..... I'm a fan of old movies, the earlier the better, so I thought a bit of movie history would be fun.
1. Who was originally signed by Warner Bros. for the title role in The Jazz Singer, before Al Jolson got the role?
2. Jean Harlow died before she'd completed her starring role in Saratoga. Who was the actress who finished her scenes?
3. Who was silent screen star who posed for the original Uncle Sam recruiting poster in WWI?
4. Who played the title role in Universal's classic 1931 movie Frankenstein?
5. Who was the film queen who once refused to have Laurence Olivier as her leading man, and in which film?

4. is Colin Clive.
You didn't expect me to say Boris Karloff did you? That would be a monstrous error.
and 5. is Garbo on Queen Christina.

No, Whipper, I didn't think it would sneak by you. I thought it was a little too easy when I wrote it |

1. George Jessel (stage production) was asked first, then Eddie Cantor was supposedly asked but refused. 2. Mary Dees was filmed from behind for some scenes, but Harlow's voice was supplied by Paula Winslowe. 3. James Montgomery Flagg was the illustrator and face behind the Uncle Sam poster.

Ooh! I thought of a "quickie" that's probably not that tough:
What do Cary Grant and John Cleese have in common? (If it's not "got" right away, I'll be more specific.) |

I believe you are dead on again, Bean!
It's the restaurant scene where everyone is Malkovitch, the only thing anybody says is Malkovitch and the only thing on the menu is Malkovitch. |
