I'd say that's extremely unusual, wonder how that happened? Scanning your list it looks like you missed a lot of main arthouse releases on the big screen - 5 Broken Cameras, Amour, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Breathing, The Hunt, The Imposter, The Kid With a Bike, Michael, Once Upon a Time in Anatolia all stick out. Even mainstream stuff like Bourne Legacy, Cabin in the Woods, Lawless, The Master, Prometheus, Sightseers... unless you saw some of them this year or the year before - that probably accounts for a few of the variations.
Yup, some of them I've seen this year (The Hunt on Saturday, for example), but a lot I haven't even heard of. Just goes to show how much doesn't make it here. I'd kind of assumed that most important things did but I suppose they don't. |

Ah, by "here" do you mean Poland? That's definitely the answer- I've never understood but release dates worldwide can be years apart sometimes. "The Hunt" is good example - according to IMDB it was premiered at Cannes in May 2012, released in most of continental Europe and the UK in October and November, Scandinavia and the Baltics in January of this year, Russia in February, Japan and Brazil in March, this weekend in Spain, and next month in Australia! |

Madrid. I haven't lived in Poland for a couple of years. Things may come out later here than there since unfortunately here they are usually dubbed, which I assume takes longer to organise.
