TA:MOU = Themed Anniversary: Moving On Up
The Rules
Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.
You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.
You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted.
ON THIS DAY: 8 August
We note two connected events and another alternative for your TA:MOUing pleasure.
1929: British gangsta Ronnie Biggs was born and 1963: Date of the Great Train Robbery
The latter involved the theft of 2.6 million in bank notes by a gang of 15, including the aforementioned Biggs.
So, not to celebrate crime, oh no, but to remind ourselves to be good and honest - let's see your reviews for films whose focus is a BIG HEIST. No penny-ante thefts, please. But major thieveries, planned and pulled off by gangs.
If you'd prefer something completely different ...
1919 marks the birth date of prolific Italian film producer. Dino De Laurentiis, who died, sadly, a couple of years ago. Before that he was responsible for stacks of reels. Show us your fwfrs for 'em!
