Objective: Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle, who was once as popular as Chaplin, had his career destroyed by Hollywood's first big scandal, a rape trial in which (most people have forgotten) he was acquitted. After 10 years directing under the Alan Smithee-ish name Will B. Goodrich, Roscoe was awarded a contract to make short talkies at MGM. Sadly he died just days before he was to make his first sound feature. These are his talkie shorts.
