Just two questions on today's pop quiz:

Why isn't this wittier?

Would anyone seriously be considering this film if it weren't about a lesbian family?

#1 - I don't know.

#2 - Actually, I think they would. The idea of two kids finding their biological, sperm-donor father is an interesting concept. I think they went with the lesbian family because one could imagine that the non-biological father in a straight family might be even less understanding than either of these women were.

1) I don't know, because I missed it at last year's Sundance.

2) Yes, they still would, from all I heard in Park City. But I still have to see it for myself.
