Matewan

Written and directed by John Sayles, Matewan explores unions and coal in 1920 West Virginia. IMDB has a couple of great synopses to refresh your memory. There are some really nice performances tucked into this film, and Sayles wrote a book about film making based around this experience.

Couldn't get the coal
dust out of my eyes. Then missed
the union meeting.

It's coal and unions.
That's what the blurb I read said.
It's coal and unions.

So far, there are 3 entries. Throw yours in Sludge and let's get the voting done. After all, I don't want all of my hard work to go to waste.

I voted (even though Chocky's entry was missing two syllables and a little out of format).

WOW - thanks everyone.

Lemme go wash away the coal dust and I'll be back in a bit with some inspiration.
