If you are visiting these pages as a result of playing the Four Word Film Review quiz on Sporcle, welcome!

First things first, if you'd like to submit a review with credit, vote for a review you like, or post a comment, you'll need to pick a username and password and register. There's no cost and no spamming. You can read more in the FAQ.

Once you've done that, take a look at the some of the features. The guy who put this site together, Benj Clews, has done a remarkable job. You can search for film titles from every page. Once on a film you can see and vote for any reviews you particularly like.

If you find that you have a particular fondness of reviews from a particular participant, click on their user name and you can get to a list of all their reviews.

If you want to see what other films an actor has been in, all the actors are hyperlinked in the left-hand-side column of the film to a complete list of their films.

You can also enter your own reviews. Reviews are erm... reviewed before posting, so the world won't see your handiwork immediately. In fact, depending on the number of submissions, it could be a week or more before your inspiration is approved.

Note that there is a maximum limit of 20 submissions per week. The editors, affectionately known as MERP's, need to have a life.

In the meantime, check out the current Top Reviews based on votes received in the past 24 hours. Or the All-Time Top Reviews, several of which you'll recognize from the Sporcle quiz.

If you get heavily addicted, you may want to join the weekly Four Word Tasteless Obituary contest, where we eulogize (in 4 words or less, naturally) a new living or dead celebrity each week.

And if you have a strong stomach there's the Four Word Porn Titles, where we use our disgusting imagination to select potential film titles for legitimate performers. Not recommended for children.

Once you've got a few reviews under your belt, there's the twice-weekly "Four Your Consideration/Treasure Hunt" threads, where you select up to 5 of your reviews you think are particularly good so that others will see them. New threads are started on Monday and Thursday and can usually be found near the top of the Review fourum.

So if you're new here, post in this thread and introduce yourself.

You're among friends.

Good idea. Hopefully this will draw some people in. Thanks for using one of mine.

By the way, I think the weekly maximum does not now apply till users have 50 reviews, in order to give them a chance to get going.

Yes, if you're here from Sporcle, start submitting and enjoy! Also, the various games we have here are a good way to stretch your four word writing muscles!

There are a lot of reviews from new users at the moment, so I suggest that as many people as possible read through them and vote accordingly in order to encourage them.

Best just to use my link, which covers all of them except for one review by LooseLes. Here it is again, amended to unvoted only, in case anyone wants to take a second look.

One of them is called AC, which may get a bit confusing if (s)he sticks around...

I saw that - really nice.

You know, if we want to encourage these newbies to stay, we should message them to visit here as well.

(I've done that on a couple already.)

I noted Wilson above but there are several new approvals today, so well worth a revisit.
