Voted. Mwahaha!
This week's viewing: Witchfinder General Thoughts: The sixties just weren't gory enough for this kind of film to work. I mean, it's not a psychological thriller or anything, so what it needs is guts. Lots of greasy grimy guts. Not splashes of bright red paint. |

Witchfinder General. The Hammer film universe has its own conventions which you either go along with for as long as the film lasts or you get annoyed by its unreality, cheap sets and frequently bad acting.
If you can accept these conventions then it's a good film. VP does a pretty good job and it does touch upon the dangers of superstitious and absolute thinking and human cruelty.
Take the kids!

Jeez, I should do this more often. Yes it is my first win but I don't think I've entered before, so I like to look at it as a 100% record
New target on the way.
