Not as prestigious a role as in North By Northwest, but this must be Leo G. Carroll in Tarantula. I'll be back with a topper shortly.

Grieving composer spooked.

I'd say George C. Scott, but I don't know the role.

The Changeling. (Thanks lemmy!)

Yep. Think of the title of the recent Clint Eastwood flick.

This is a really tough one. If it's too tough I'll come up with another one.

BBabe -
I don't know about everyone else, but I give up. The possible actors I came up with are George Arliss, Gillian Anderson, Gabrielle Anwar and Gene Autry, but I couldn't link any of them to the clue. Am I on the right track? Hint?

Hints:
Yep, she's in there all right. Film's based on a book by a 19th century American authoress who wrote this in 1905. Film was directed by an Englishman generally associated with Liverpool. Gus in the film is played by someone with a connection to Ghostbusters.

Thanks, BBabe. You too, Lem. Sadly, it was mostly the Ghostbuster connection that jogged my memory. If my brain was working better, I probably should have gotten it without the hints. Perhaps the glitch is because I have mixed memories of the film - liked parts of it immensely, but the full result left me a little cold. Anyway, it's:

Gillian Anderson - House of Mirth

Here's a easy one so we can rest our minds for a bit:

Wouldnt be Henry Fonda? Could be Ox Bow Incident, or indeed Once Upon A Time In The West?!
