Me too. Some weeks I would like to save a couple of spots for things other than resubmissions.

Fourum

It would be better if it did not use pop-up windows when deleting posts.

It's a small thing, but I'd really like to be able to use en dashes. The Fourum thinks that all dashes are hyphens.

Why? Does that cause a problem on some browsers?

With some computer settings. Not everyone accesses the site on their own computer, so they cannot control the settings. I therefore cannot delete posts at the moment, for example.

Benj,

Would it be possible to be able to view our pending reviews in the site bubble layout, so we can check that the review will look right if and when accepted?

Sometimes the site layout splits words (hyphenated)etc. which spoils the overall effect of the review.

Cheers

Yep, I would really like this too. I sometimes end up editing reviews based on how they get presented. I've also mentioned before that the small size and different font of the submission box are a bit of an issue. (In some visual puns, one needs to see how similar two different characters look.)

I have reluctantly moved to Firefox as my primary browser. It would be nice to be able to upload avatars with it. Presently, one has to use MSIE for that.

Well, I've been putting some serious effort into rewriting the whole site for a few months now so I'll certainly take this into consideration. I'll be honest, I've never overly liked the list format of reviews either, but you can't beat it for compactness.

I like the format but it does not cope well with unusual cases. A related thing to consider is whether users could control whether words get broken after hyphens, or could insert returns to avoid the same thing (although that could get used stupidly).

Presentation of films

A linked artist name usually means that they have multiple films. However, if someone has worked on only one film but in multiple roles, they are linked too. I think it would be better if they weren't.

This is high on my wish list too.

Film Not Found Rejections

I've had a rejection of a film "not found" that is clearly in IMDB. I've provided the link and resubbed, but this went to rejection pile for more than 20 submitted. It would be a nice tweak if the system would put responses to "film not found" rejections into one's pending pile, overriding the 20 submission rule.

Compatibility with different hardware

This is a minor consideration, but as people are increasingly using portable devices for browsing the Internet it may as well be born in mind. I mainly use my 'phone to visit this site (as I don't own a computer) and certain things are not possible on it.

I cannot create/update accolades on it due to the pop-ups like described above with certain computers' settings.

It is hard to score films (it often doesn't 'take' when I press the relevant bar) and impossible to flag them (it never does when I press the circle). It's not a size issue as I can zoom in.

The aforementioned risk of accidentally deleting an accolade etc. is also much higher (apart from the fact that as I cannot edit an accolade I am luckily less likely to be near the 'Delete' button).
