I have a review looking for a movie. I need a movie where someone famous or several famous people go to jail (celebrities).

In The Longest Yard a famous football player goes to jail.

In Chicago the people who are jailed become famous.

The Hurricane is about a well-known boxer who is imprisioned.

McVicar starring Roger Daltry - John McVicar was classed as Britain's Public Enemy Number One

Spike Lee's biopic of Malcom X

The Executioner, from Norman Mailer's book about notorious Gary Gilmore

There are rumors of a Timothy Leary biopic, including his escape from jail, to star Di Caprio ... but who knows?

Hope these help!

PS - How's your baby? What's the title of your hubby's newsletter?

We are good! The baby is great. :)

They still haven't announced the name of the newsletter. I am not a very patient person and it feels like it has been FOREVER.

I was going to suggest that, and, though it's true, in real life Cash did go to jail, and in the film we see him perform at Folsom, but I don't recall any scene/s of him actually doing time. Is this my tapioca brain again, or ... ?

They do talk about his incarceration, but no, you are right - the movie doesn't show him in jail.

I watched it a couple of weeks ago - and recall his going to jail as a key point in the film. I don't remember if we actually see him in jail, but we see him arrested for drug possession and I remember his father making a snide comment about how he would be able to add more realism to his song 'Falsom Prison Blues', or something like that.

Anyhows, I don't have the best of film memories, but I thought it was so

Excellent choice, and yes he was very famous when he was jailed - the trial itself was hugely publicized.
