You didn't see it then?  There's a pretty key scene where Crowe's character kills a major supporting character with his bare hands.

Basically after the hired goon "Blueface" is run over Healy finishes him off by strangling him. It's a key moment because Healy lies to March's daughter Holly, pretending that he died of his injuries to appear more morally upright and compassionate to the girl. It's mentioned in the Ebert review from the link you posted above.

Well, well. I didn't look at the link as the key words that had led to returning it seemed to refer to outside the events of the film. I also see that it is mentioned in the Wikipedia article, which I had even looked through but apparently too quickly. Odd that I didn't remember it, as I can remember that scene otherwise clearly. What a nusiance, as there are several cases where they specifically avoid killing people. I'm going to get rid of it now. |
