In recent years, some films have been rereleased as Director's cuts or extended editions, however the majority don't offer anything substantially extra to warrant an extra film entry on the fwfr.

To date the only exception is 'Apocalypse Now Redux', which was added after a decent justification for it being listed as a separate film. Further alternate films may be added in the future but they must be proved to be sufficiently different from the original.

A large part of being so restrictive over adding these special versions of films is to avoid confusion when choosing which film to review. If you are reviewing the alternate version of a film, it should be a review that reflects the difference between that version and the original- a review of the film as a whole should, generally speaking, go to the original.
