You cheated, I count 122!

Nice list, I see a few here on my Top 100 but many, many more in my next 100. I'll be going through this one as well (probably in the weekend) and will be putting a few more in my queue.

BTW, in the long term these lists are likely to be ones that some may want to refer to later, so a search term in common could be useful. At the moment, my list, Ghcool's and randall's all have the term "100" in the title. Do you think you could add it to yours (even though there are more than 100 in it)? There are no words in the title at present that I'll remember a year from now.

BTW nice to see penguins getting some love.

Thanks for the kind words, sire!
Well, I didn't cheat because I deliberately didn't want to be restricted to 100 and deliberately didn't post in anyone else's thread. If I'd had more time, I'd have doubled the list easily. My guide was films I would happily watch again immediately I saw they were playing on t.v. - those I'd just tune in for a moment and then find myself abandoning whatever else I was doing to carry on watching.

I don't really have favorites. And - if you've been following my comments about film awards over the years - I certainly couldn't say the films I'd rate The Best.

So, tell ya what, fellow penguiny, if I have some spare time, I'll try to hone it down to 100. You bastard!

A lot of my favorite movies are on this list as well, so I hate to sound like a crabby complainer, but its difficult for me to keep my big mouth shut when confronted with a list that manages to find room for Happy Feet, but no room for any of the work of Billy Wilder, Walt Disney, James Cameron, Peter Jackson, or George Lucas. Heck, Casablanca isn't even on your list!

I know! I'm in agony over so many I neglected. Really busy just now, but hoping to get back to this when I can. And thanks for starting it all off! :)
