Lemmy in for #908.

Aide-mmoire:

Body and SoulGirlfriend Peg BORN brings corrupt, disillusioned boxer Charley (John Garfield) back to the straight and narrow.

Movie 43if you know nothing about this film consider yourself lucky. In one of the segments Halle Berry is involved in a very gross game of Truth or Dare.

Helden is a little-known German version of Shaws Arms and the Man directed by Franz Peter Wirth.

Doctors DilemmaShaw again. Gee, I must be working on an accolade. Leslie Caron tries to get medical attention for her useless hubby Dirk Bogarde.

Ace of Aces--A sculptor [Richard Dix] who doesn't want to have any part of World War I is shamed by his girlfriend into joining the army. He becomes a fighter pilot, and undergoes a complete personality change.(IMDb)

The Late Shakespeares

NB:
Much of "Pericles" is set on and around water and involves shipwrecks and storms.
In "The Winter's Tale" jealous Leontes (Laurence Harvey in 1967) makes his servant Antigonus (Cyril Luckham in 1981) cast out his baby daughter at which point he is unfortunately eaten by a bear.
The hero of "Cymbeline" is called Posthumus.
In the BBC "Tempest" Miranda and Ferdinand are played by cousins Pippa and Christopher Guard.

Mike Vogel beats Ryan Gosling up.

Not a spoiler for Cloud Atlas, but better to know nothing about it before reading/watching: It's about one spirit, probably, in six lives. One of the stories is set in an Eastern city built adjacent to its flooded predecessor. Once again, I suspect that this idea was intended by the author, but I'll leave the review just in case not.

Spoiler for Looper: The fatally telekinetic child is played by Pierce Gagnon.

Macy Gray narrates a film featuring the ups and downs of her relationship with Zac Efron and family.
