TA:MOU = Themed Anniversary: Moving On Up

The Rules

Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.

You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.

You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted.

ON THIS DAY: 19 March
TA:MOU is Choice City!

> Well, we just have to mark the date in 1895 the brothers Auguste and Louis Lumire recorded the first footage with their newly patented cinematograph. Your TA:MOU challenge is to post your fwfrs for films co-directed by siblings.

> The late great Welsh comic magician Tommy Cooper was born on this day in 1921[he died in 1984]. His magic didn't depend on mechanical gimmicks and elaborate set-ups. All he needed were some props on a table. And his ever-present Fez.

So this is not really a birthday tribute - he, only made about five movies. But it's a TA:MOU starting point for films that feature or are dependent on magic. The restriction here is that the magic being portrayed is of the Cooper kind.

OR
say Happy Birthday to

1909 Louis Hayward, British actor (d. 1985)
1928 Patrick McGoohan, American actor (d. 2009)
1936 Ursula Andress, Swiss actress
1947 Glenn Close, American actress
1955 Bruce Willis, American actor

This is true, but figured our kindly TA:Mistress would be lenient, given the respective siblings wrote said movies.
