Voted to here.

Lots of good stuff, but I have to say Larry's "Sweet success of smell" is one of my favorites this round.

Got Salopian, too.

The Pope's Toilet is set around the Pope visiting South America; seemed apt. Regardless of what some of the other reviews indicate, it is not about a toilet for the Pope to use. It is about people trying to cash in on his visit, (spoiler here but very abstractly in the review) failing and being dejected before picking themselves up again.

Not technically a spoiler for Cloud Atlas, but better to know nothing about it in advance of reading/watching: It revolves around six characters in different eras, each with a birthmark of the same distinctive shape. After this review was approved, it occurred to me that David Mitchell probably chose that shape for this very reason, which would make the review a waste of space, but I'll leave it there for now.

VV!

Welcome back Tori, hope you'll stay and play some more.

Salopian - noticed something odd. Two of your reviews in this round don't have full stops at the end. Had you noticed?

Since the new site was enacted, full stops haven't been added automatically. I've only ever added them myself in sentences or to parallel a full stop in the middle of the review, except for odd slips.

Ah, that's interesting, I hadn't noticed. I'm a bit OCD about consistency I think. I'll be keeping my full stops as I've got over 3000 with them so far.

I've been (mostly) consistent but the site hasn't been.
