Four Your Consideration - Treasure Hunt
Seán Sez: Who's ready for these fwfr gems?

--> Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list.
--> Do not use reviews from the previous round - you must change them every round.
--> Post here to declare that you've done it. Sooner is better than later.
--> Provide a spoiler warning in your post when appropriate.
--> You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants.
--> The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 p.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next.

I prefer to put it this way

> In White Squall Jeff Bridges plays the captain of a boat re-converted as a floating classroom in which he teaches kids how to sail.

> That longest title turns out to be a short film

> So there's this street magician called Ken, and there's Aimee needing assistance

> Mortified Nation features lotsa people telling you their most embarrassing moments -- oy! for this I went to acting school?!

> Parkland Hospital is where they took JFK. Don't ask who "they" are.

Lemmy in for #902.

In Railroaded! kinky killer John Ireland perfumes his bullets.

Rebelle (War Witch) last night won best picture at the Canadian Screen Awards. It was also Oscar nominated. It is the story of 14-year-old girl named Komona who is forced into soldiering in an un-named African country.

In Baxter speech therapist Patricia Neal tries to help young Scott Jacoby who has a severe lisp.

In Kiss me Deadly everyone is after a suitcase containing some unknown substance. Spillane's secretary refers to it as "the great whatsit".

Beach Blanket Bingo was the fifth film in the "Beach Party" franchise.

Man, O Man

NB:
Seth Green plays Dr. Evil's son Scott in the "Austin Powers" films
"Man with a Movie Camera" is the classic experimental silent documentary that constantly plays with the notion of film and film-making.

Pi Day.

For Life of Pi, I thought of the first one and had to follow it up with a tribute to Randall's review for the one that describes.

No spoiler here since it's all over the preview... For much of the film, Pi must contend with an untamed Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.

I have to point out Salopian's FWFR's on this film - I've voted for the top five of his. Pi, Seas, Dead People is kind of obligatory, and I just caught "Animals don't eat Pi". Bonus points... Pi doesn't eat animals.

I've been lurk-voting. Good stuff.

Hey, thanks.

I love the latter of yours mentioned above, which I saw before the other one (which I may yet vote for too ), and gave it its first vote. I'm really fond of tributes to other reviews. The other two that I've just voted for are great too. (I don't think I get the remaining one.)

I got a chuckle when I saw that. I have always thought I made a mistake by using the contraction instead of a colon [my, that sounds rather medical!]. If I hadn't, it would have read exactly like the film title. I remember going back and forth on this as I was preparing to submit it, and on reflection I think I made the wrong call. Ah, well. But your adding the "e" is funny!

Dirty Dancing takes place at a summer resort. It has an exaggeratedly theatrical and stupid plot, in my opinion.

Look Back in Anger.

Notes:
Bacon and Dog are enemies in Guy Ritchie's film.
Snake Plissken is forced by the government to retrieve a lost remote control for an EMP weapon.

Thanks!

Not sure which you mean. But Parker Brothers is a game company. If it's the one voter (as of now), the family brings their zoo aboard a ship that sinks. If someone has "bought the farm" they have not survived. Circumfluence can mean "surrounded by water."
