NB: In "The Sea Shall Not Have Them" Dirk Bogarde stars as one of an aircraft crew shot down and adrift in the sea. "Carve Her Name With Pride" is the story of Violette Szabo, a British woman hired to be a spy in occupied France. "The Cruel Sea" is about the convoy vessel 'Compass Rose' and her crew. In "The Malta Story" Alec Guinness stars as a pilot spotting enemy shipping off the coast of the island. "Sea of Sand" stars Richard Attenborough as a truck driver during the North Africa campaign.
Notes: Peter Sellers is Hrundi V. Bakshi, whose clumsiness enlivens a formal cocktail party. Wag the Dog is about a fake war invented to divert attention away from a presidential scandal. Cary Grant is the Cat, a burglar forced out of retirement to find someone who has been copying him.

One explanation: The 3 children in Dogtooth are cut off by high walls & their strange belief system from what they are told by their parents are the terrible dangers of the outside world. They believe that they are only ready to face these dangers when they lose a canine tooth. (And Elder Daughter is becoming v restless�)
