I'm back!!!!!! I wasn't actually gone, but I kept missing getting on here for this, thus, I'm back!!!!!!
So here are my notes:
a) Maybe my last Zombieland entry: A shy student trying to reach his family in Ohio, and a gun-toting tough guy trying to find the Last Twinkie and a pair of sisters trying to get to an amusement park join forces to travel across a zombie-filled America.
b) The Odd Life of Timothy Green: A childless couple bury a box in their backyard, containing all of their wishes for an infant. Soon, a child springs forth, so wishes don't just become dreams, they become... GREEN!
c) Mr. Deeds Goes to Town: Longfellow Deeds, a simple-hearted Vermont tuba player, inherits a fortune and has to contend with opportunist city slickers. At the sanity hearing, the irrepressible Faulkner sisters agree Deeds is pixilated.
d) You Can't Take It With You: Adorable Frank Capra comedy wherein a man from a family of rich snobs becomes engaged to a woman from a good-natured but decidedly eccentric family. The theme song seems to be Polly Wolly Doodle, as it gets played quite often!
e) Lincoln: Daniel Day-Lewis plays Abraham Lincoln. The much discussed main poster shows Lewis in profile, looking like Lincoln incarnate, which isn't necessarily a lovely thing to behold. Being a Lincoln student, I'm really looking forward to seeing this! |

That might not seem particularly notable but this is the first time in many years that all of my reviews (except a few that I have reported as duplicates before their turn came) have been in the F.Y.C.T.H. I virtually always include them in approximately approval order; for a long time I had a lag of about fifty, then I completed all my Cine File accolades and was hundreds behind. I post links www.fwxr.com (because that is the version I use in general, since I can't find my way around the new one) and www.fwfr.co.uk (because that is the U.R.L. I prefer; if Benj wanted only www.fwfr.com to be used then he would have applied that long ago). However, it has never been a requirement to post links at all: anyone can just click on the user's name on the left if any links given are not convenient for them. This has been pointed quite a large number of times by other people, and it's what I do myself. |
