It's nit-picky, but Tori's new review for the Terry Fox story:
"Legless runner inspires Canada."
Isn't quite right - he did have ONE leg. Sort of one and a half, since half of one of his legs was a prosthetic one. He did inspire Canada though. Still does. Just wanted to point that out.

I didn't say 'completely legless', you can be legless if you're missing one leg, because you're one leg less. :) (right?)

I'll buy that. Just wanted to query, that's all!

Just noticed a review published for Dogma as 'Matt: Demon', a play on Matt Damon's name, but he is an Angel in this film - Jason Lee's the Demon. Sorry Sludge. Some different punctuation might make it more valid though.

A full-stop would make it OK. Ie, "Matt. Demon."

Yeah, hence my punctuation comment above.

benj,
Would you mind correcting the typo in one of my You've Got Mail reviews approved today? One T too many:

"Hanks-Ryan: E-mail attatchment."

I apologize for my fat gooey cheese fingers.

Sorry to make a bit of a fuss, but it's easier for me if you can make whatever change you feel is necessary and then let me know it needs reapproving. I don't currently have any more functionality than anyone else when it comes to editing reviews (i.e. I also have to go in and edit it the same way you do before then reapproving it).

Cheers,
benj.

Doesn't matter to me. I thought we just went through a whole thread of people having you edit typos rather than edit and resubmit because that was somehow easier... for you that is, not us.

I shall cheese_edit.

I noticed a problem with Skunk Puppet's review of "Kadosh": http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?id=11392

From what I understand (although I admit I haven't seen the film), this film is about an Ultra-Orthodox community, not a Hassidic community. I realize that to outsiders, both sects may seem identical but in reality they're worlds apart. In fact, they often have an intense dislike for each other. Most Hassids won't even acknowledge any other sects - including the Ultra-Orthodox - as Jews.

Changing the word "Hassidic" to "Orthodox" or "Ultra-orthodox" is all it would take to fix this, so no deletion is required.

If anyone thinks this is inconsequential, let me put it in perspective: it's like saying Calvanist and Catholic are the same thing.

Re Matt: Demon

Benj, could you go ahead and change it to "Matt. Demon."

They seemed to be part of the same gang, in a way, but I spose those child molesting corporate execs deserved the bloodfest. Also I was thinking of them more as "fallen angels".

Thanks, Sean & AC.

Hi Sludge! I think you need to read benj's post about 4 up from this one. Cheers!

Sorry kolo, but con men is two words.

It could be changed to 'cons' easily enough without losing any meaning instead of simply deleting the review.

Or simply delete that pesky hyphen.

A Yahoo search for "conmen" turns up 54,000+ hits, not to mention 98,000+ hits for the singular "conman."

I'd be inclined to consider "conman" or "conmen" to count as only one word. The compound noun is in common usage.

I can't find

Conman
Conmen
Con-man
Con-men

in any online dictionary as one word

"cons" would be good for the review
