I need the help of a technical person please... I'm adding new accolades and sprucing up some old ones as I've hit my submissions cap for this week and have run out of things to do...

So, I'm wanting to change the colour of the existing generic Accolade trophy but am having no luck at all with it in Photoshop. All I want is to flood the blue colour with another one, but every time I try it it goes grey. I'm pretty sure this is to do with the transparency layer, or something similar, but everything I've tried to change it including saving the GIF in another format, attempting to edit the layer produces the same effect. Surely this is a simple operation?? Help appreciated.

Also, it's generally best to use at least RGB mode (Image --> Mode --> RGB Color) when editing an image, otherwise you're limited to GIF's 256 colour limit which'll severely limit what you can achieve.

It's ok, benj - I guessed he was using the 2-color depth setting, so I upped it, gave him the color he wanted and saved it as 256.

But your instructions are great for reference

I've tried manipulating that trophy too and have found it very reluctant. I'd suggest asking duh. She helped me with a similar trophy transparency issue.

That's sad.
