Movies have come out the make fun of all Genre of movies. I believe it was Airplane! that started it all. It made fun of Airplane/Space/Disaster movies. Now more and more movies are coming out to spoof whole genres. Not just one or 2 movies. What movies are out there?

Airplane! - Disaster movies
Scary Movie - Horror Movies
Not Another Teen Movie - Teen Movies
Totally Awesome! - 80's movies
Date Movie - Romantic movies
Naked Gun - Police Movies
Hot Shots - War Movies
Spy Hard - spy movies
Austin Powers - Bond Movies
Shrek - Disney / Fairtale movies
Shaun of the Dead - Zombie Movies
Fatal Instinct - Thrillers
Epic Movie - Blockbuster hits

Coming out soon:
Superhero! - Superhero movies

have I missed any? What needs to come out???

Gangster movie, Monster Movie,

So why do they feel the need to make fun of movies? Are they trying to be the Weird Al Yankovick of the movies?

It's also kind of one of the worst movies I've ever seen, no exaggeration.

I liked it!

A couple of Woody Allen parodies:

Love & Death

Interiors

On a slightly more thoughtful out level

The Player and For Your Condiseration - movies about Hollywoodland

MASH - war

It's kitschy, but it's mostly famous as the film where Sharon Tate met Roman Polanski. Lots of irony there.

The Monty Python movies make fun of cinematic depictions of religious mythology.

Austin Powers is hardly the best Bond spoof. Certainly the first Casino Royale was the first one to make fun of Bond films. For what I consider the full list of Bond spoofs, you can look at my accolade

Epic Movie spoofs everything - but especially the Potter/Narnia stuff! And, is in parts, very funny indeed!
