GREAT concept, COMPLETELY LEFT OUT TO DRY. Adam Sandler tells bedtime stories, but if the kids comment on them, their comments come true!
Sandler, with his overtly childish persona, would seem to be a natural for an actual "family" movie, as long as there's a teensy bit of naughtiness therein. That's as far as the creators went in their thinking. The story doesn't vault off that concept, it leans on it. It's as if the high concept was all that was conceived.
A mess, but not so bad that we quit watching. Yet when the famous Sandler credits started to roll, we didn't care whether we were going to see the "credit blooper reel" or not. We immediately turned the muffukka off. |

Posted - 04/29/2009 : 00:01:44 I thought it was quite good, preferable to most Sandler stuff. I thought Bugsy was naff, though. |

Maybe we'll get a Swedish remake? |
