A wonderful docu that takes you RIGHT UP TO the personal mysteries of Ricky Jay, the best card handler alive, but doesn't go any farther: except for his magnificent grandfather, he disavows his family, and that's that.

My beloved author Tom Robbins has a playing card that Ricky Jay handed him after he threw it into the green part of a watermelon. I myself have a wedding ring that the selfsame Ricky Jay used in an off-Broadway illusion, and handed me back. Details here:

Watch this incredible man in an incredible docu, which only takes you up TO the door, not THROUGH it.
