As Airbolt once said about Brooklyn Rules, "two words: Scorcese Light." Take your Brooklyn Rules, add a blaring 80s speed metal soundtrack, cover up the shitty soundtrack in the trailers by instead borrowing the Rage Against The Machine song already featured in The Matrix, and they might as well cap this robbery off with a print ad quoting a critic who mused that "Once Upon A Time in Brooklyn might represent the new gold standard . . . ".*


* . . . of shameless barrel scraping.


I haven't found the ad yet, but it's got to be out there somewhere.
