Fontaine is the French resistance fighter attempting to break out of a Nazi prison in "A Man Escaped". Mireille Darc stars in Godard's satirical and increasingly disturbing film "Weekend". Jacques Tati introduced his most famous character in "Les Vacances de M.Hulot". In "Le Silence De La Mer" an idealistic Francophile Nazi officer is billeted in the house of a man and his daughter, who refuse to speak. |
