NB: "Afghan Star" is about the Afghani TV "Pop Idol" and how the contestants risk their lives taking part. "The Exiles" covers a weekend for a group of Native Americans living in urban L.A. "Hearts of Darkness" charts Francis Ford Coppola's making of "Apocalypse Now". "Wheel of Time" is Werner Herzog's film about the Buddhist sand mandala ritual in India and a sick Dalai Lama's involvement. "Why We Fight" examines the United States involvement in decades of worldwide conflicts and the power and wealth generated by the war machine.
