The Rules
Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.
You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.
You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted.
ON THIS DAY: 18 December TA:MOU sez - We know what your parents did last spring!!
Because, yes, there are a few notable anniversaries we could parlay into fwfr fodder, but it's just amazing how many birthdays of film peeps we can mark.
Let's start with an oldie - Joseph Grimaldi, the paradigm of clowns [1778 -1837]. Let's see your reviews for any films featuring clowns. Live action, animated, funny, chilling - whatever. But be warned clowns have to be the MAIN thing about the film, not just a cameo!! So put on those BIG shoes and start clowning around
And, for some other glad-they-were-born film greats ...
> Celia Johnson, actress [1908 - 1982]
> Jules Dassin, director [1911 2008]
> Betty Grable, actress [1916 1973]
> Ossie Davis, actor and activist [1917 2005]
> Alan Rudolph, director/screenwriter [1943]
> Steven Spielberg, director [1946]
> Gillian Armstrong, director [1950]
> Ray Liotta, actor [1954]
> Brad Pitt, actor [1963]
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THEM ALL
