The Rules
Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.
You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.
You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted.
ON THIS DAY: 9 October TA:MOU offers a tempting trio to test you. That's right, ladies and germs, a three-fer! Three for the price of one!!
1. Geography - The 1888 public opening of The Washington Monument. Your reviews, please, for all films primarily set in Washington DC.
2. Sports - The 1919 Black Sox scandal in which The Cincinnati Reds cheated to win the World Series. Show us your fwfrs for films featuring dirty-doings in any sport.
3. Pretend Phantoms - 1986 saw the world premiere in London of The Phantom of the Opera. Reveal your reviews for films featuring phantoms, ghosts, ghoulies, and things that go bump in the night - which turn out to be all too human and real.
TA:MOU's Birthday Alternatives include Alastair Sim, Lila Kedrova, Jacques Tati, and John Lennon. Choose one and ice their cake with reviews of their films.
