I didn't see the film, but from what I know about Troy I think it's fine. Benj presumably thinks so too as he posted it. And it would definitely pass the bubble-test.

Thanks. So long as benj knows it is just a quotation, then I'll keep it.

And a spelling error in the 'faeriefern' one.

Benj these two in Dog Soldiers may be a bit close for comfort.

No dogs. Many Werewolves - Mark B

No dogs just werewolves. - No

I voted for both of them and then was struck by the similarity.

Markdkny's "Bean there, done that" is the same as Downtown's.

And, whoops, it looks like I made a review identical to that one as well. I just deleted mine.

Rockgolf's recent review for Diva, is an awful lot like my older review for Opera Fanatic. http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?ID=10417

Great minds think alike. I don't mind if it stays, but spread the vote love.

I thought I recognised Downtown's recent review 'The Great Ducktator' for Der Fuehrer's Face as one of my own.

On closer examination, it seems my review was plain 'Ducktator'.

It was noncentz who got in before both of us with 'The Great Ducktator'!

benj, both mine and DT's have votes - guess you better do the necessary and delete them both, and transfer the votes to non.

Sorry DT, if it makes you feel any better, I really am sharing your pain!

Hey benj - I see DT's has gone, mine's still there. I am guessing you removed DT's but maybe decided mine wasn't a duplicate? Ducktator instead of The Great Ducktator?

I know it's not exactly the same wording, but I don't really feel comfortable with it anyway - taking two words out of somebody else's review whilst adding nothing in terms of meaning, humour or substance.

Let me know - if it passes a strict interpretation of the rules, and it's just that I feel uncomfortable having it against my own name, I'll just delete it.

This kind of thing has come up before. I (deliberately) posted "Sperminator" for Junior by plagiarising Obie's review "Arnie becomes the Sperminator". Obie didn't mind, and benj approved it.

Noncentz has punned "The Great Dictator" ( movie title) for his review, in your case it is simply a pun on "Dictator". If benj doesn't delete it, then I guess it's up to you. My opinion? I see no problem. We are here to write good reviews, not delete them. Up to you of course.

I agree - and I am not trying to impose it on everybody else - but am interested in what people think. I think it lessons the impact of noncentz's review if mine is sitting right behind it (especially on a film that only has 3 reviews)

I remember you mentioning your Sperminator review some time ago when you put it on - I was a bit unsure about it then and always have been, but at least I can see how your review was more aesthetically (?) pleasing and therefore adds something to the site, mine doesn't.

Anyways, I'll assume benj was ok with it, and I'll just let it pass away gently of natural causes ...

Mine's gone because I deleted it.

Has it been pointed out before that there are two identical Star Trek accolades? Not reviews but still duplicates.
